Palazzo Comacio

This 26 m2 studio features a private bathroom with a bathtub. The room is furnished with a dining table, armchairs, and a 160 cm double bed. The kitchenette is equipped with two electric hotplates, a fridge, a Nespresso machine, and the necessary crockery. In addition to underfloor heating, a fireplace stove provides cozy and intimate warmth. Wi-Fi reception in every studio. Upon arrival, we provide: coffee capsules, crispbread, butter, honey, and coffee cream for a first breakfast. Proceeding from Bellinzona, the silhouette of Palazzo Comacio appears on the outskirts of Roveredo, right next to the Romanesque tower of the Church of San Giulio. The imposing building bears the name of its builder, Tomaso Comacio. Roveredo is the capital of the Mesolcina valley and is located in the valley floor. The village is nestled in a hilly mountain landscape, which gives a sense of security. In addition to various notable historic buildings, Roveredo offers a lively village life and intact infrastructure, including grocery stores, an organic shop, two butcheries, two pharmacies, a bakery, restaurants, and bars. The Moesa River, which flows through the village, allows for safe swimming during the summer season. By public transport, Bellinzona is reachable in half an hour, while Locarno and Lugano are an hour away. Art and Culture The Val Calanca and Val Mesolcina valleys offer a rich cultural life. Here, people dance, sing, eat, drink, laugh, sow, and harvest... People meet in the mountains, in the valley, on horseback, during hikes, art exhibitions, and vernissages. There are countless ways to have fun here, whether relaxing, exploring by bike, taking a refreshing dip in the Moesa River, or showering under one of the valley’s numerous waterfalls.
