Description
A haystack with a view of the stars through the glass roof, breakfast included: this is the Tgamon on the Somtgant Alp above Savognin.
The converted haystack is located at 2,200 metres above sea level and offers a unique view over the valley and the Piz Mitgel, Orgelspass, Ela and Piz D'Err mountain ranges. In the evening, you can watch marmots while enjoying a glass of wine and listening to the chirping crickets. With a little luck, you may even see deer grazing below the alp. In the past, hay was stored in the Tgamon. The Tgamon served as temporary accommodation for farmers so that they could start haymaking early in the morning.
Room description:
The Tgamon has a glass roof so that you can watch the starry sky from your bed. The converted hayloft is equipped with:
a comfortable double bed
pillows
duvets
warm woollen blankets
bedside tables
A fountain is available for evening and morning toiletries. There are no shower facilities. It is recommended that you pack warm clothing, as the Tgamon cannot be heated. If you wish, you can bring your own sleeping bag. In the morning, you can accompany the shepherd and his dogs to the cattle or to the Naladas dairy alp to watch the farmer milking.
The accommodation has a toilet. There is also an alpine restaurant nearby that serves hearty dishes – cash payments only.
