Murmeli

The old Murmeli-barn is located at the entrance of the village, on the Furka pass road. The terrace is on the south side (off the road) with a beautiful view towards the Geren-valley and the Saashorn-mountain. The house is in short walking distance to the cross-country ski run in winter or to the bike and hiking trails in summer. There is an asphalted side road along the Rhone, well suited for inline skating or cycling, away from traffic. The old steam train over Gletsch to Realp starts about 100m away. Also shopping facilities or a children's playground at the edge of the forest are nearby. In the neighbouring village Obergesteln is a golf course. 8km away is the Geschinerlake. It is a nice recreation area and offers the possibility for swimming or standup-paddling.
