The Ferienhaus WALDHAUS is a generously planned holiday home in the pre-Alpine area above the small village of Riffenmatt / Guggisberg in the canton of Bern (Switzerland). Secluded in the Gantrisch Nature Park, the WALDHAUS is ideal for groups who have a lot of initiative. Although the furniture is kept to a minimum, there is a lot of pannelling in the interior of the home. In front of it, there is a playground and a fireplace. Meadows, several rivulets and the near wood enable many games. The WALDHAUS lies on a slope. It is easily accessible with any kind of vehicle. Unsuited for wheelchairs. Free Wireless. In winter, after a 20 minutes' walk on foot, two ski-lifts are on offer. The pre-Alpine skiing slopes are perfect for beginners and advanced skiers as well as for snowboarders. Cross country tracks and the option to rent skiing gear enlarge the possibilities. The Gantrisch Nature Park is located in the city triangle of Bern - Thun - Fribourg. Within a very short time you can reach endless forests, pristine meadows and deep canyons. The best way to discover the area is on a hike or bike tour, for example on the Panorama Trail, the Gürbetaler Höhenweg, the Grasburg Nature Experience Trail, in the primeval landscape of Brecca or the impressive Sense- Schwarzwa Gorge. For those who prefer action, a visit to the Gantrisch Rope Park or the via ferrata on the Gurnigel is recommended.
