Our ‘homely’ hotel, directly opposite the historic 3*S Hotel, Huus Bären, which is already over 422 years old, is perfect for family, hiking and wellness holidays.
In recent years it has been renovated with great attention to detail.

The fine-dining restaurant Bärenstobe, which is known far beyond the borders of Appenzell, and the Lehnerstobe, where we spoil you with traditional Appenzell specialities.
The Appenzeller Huus is a place of strength for body, mind and soul.
It has an exclusive sauna area with steam bath and traditional tiled stove, stylishly housed under the cosy pointed roof.
Our hot tub can be booked exclusively in advance to offer you a special wellness experience.
