Bedroom:
2 sleeping areas: 1 bedroom with a French bed, a sleeping gallery with 4 single mattresses. Mattress covers are provided. Pillowcases, duvet covers, or sleeping bags must be brought by the guest.

Living room:
Cozy original parlour with dining table and corner bench, tiled stove, and dresser. Firewood and kindling are available. Electricity for cabin lighting and charging a mobile phone is generated by solar panel.

Kitchen:
Fully equipped, simple kitchen with historic wood-burning stove, small gas cooker, Bialetti coffee maker, cooking utensils, cutlery, crockery, and fondue set. Dishes are washed by hand – kitchen linen and eco-friendly dish soap are provided. A cool box is available in the stable. Firewood, kindling, and 1 waste bag are also provided. A service fee of CHF 50.- is charged for consumables.

Bathroom:
Composting toilet in the stable next to the alpine pasture hut. There is no running water or bath. From June to September, water from the cattle trough on the nearby alpine pasture can be used for personal hygiene or washing up. Toilet paper is provided.

At 1,860 m above sea level, standing alone in the mountain world of the Safiental valley, you will find the Bächer Hütta. It has been carefully renovated without losing its old charm. Here, aged patina meets reduced design with great attention to detail. Outside, you can enjoy an impressive view over the Camaner Alp and the Bruschghora. Surrounded by alpine pastures, organic meadows, and forest, you will experience a very special atmosphere here.

The accommodation includes a kitchen with an antique wood-burning stove, a bedroom, a sleeping gallery, a parlour with dining area and stove, an outdoor seating area, a stable with storage space, and plenty of outdoor space. There is no running water or bathroom.

Living in the hut means cooking and heating with wood, solar power for lighting, water from a canister, and a classic composting toilet in the stable – resource-saving and simple. Not everything is available here – but much of what has become rare in everyday life: peace, vastness, time, and deceleration.

Despite its remote location, the alpine pasture hut is easily accessible by car and can be rented from May to October. Shopping and restaurants are only 10-15 minutes away by car. A place for those seeking simplicity and wanting to live at a different pace for a while.

Non-smoking cabin, no pets allowed. Please bring your own bed linen or sleeping bag – a small gesture that saves water and energy.
