The 4½-room flat: On the ground floor are the kitchen, toilet and living/dining room with a wood-burning stove (‘Swedish stove’). The large veranda overlooking the garden is fully glazed. The lawn is large enough for playing badminton and sunbathing. The mown area is enclosed by a 2-metre-high fence to provide a run for domestic cats and dogs that are not allowed to roam freely. The fenced-off area has two levels, with a band of boulders approximately 2 metres high separating the two levels. This rock face is a popular attraction for children and cats, though it can be a little dangerous for small children. On the upper floor there are three twin bedrooms – one with a double bed (140x200), two with bunk beds – a shower and toilet, a large balcony with railings and a tool shed. The living room and bedrooms are panelled with wood, whilst the floors are covered with linoleum or fitted carpets. You won’t have to do without a radio, TV, DVD player or your usual espresso.

Depending on availability, an additional studio flat can be booked in the same building. Both flats are independent of each other, with separate entrances.

The house is situated on the valley-facing edge of the building zone, in one of the most scenic spots in the area, about 30 metres below the road to
Platenga (on the outskirts of Surcuolm, right next to the ski slope). Away from the hayloft, it is very quiet – so quiet, in fact, that some visitors find it unsettling.

The house is small, built of timber both inside and out.
