The Salvation Army Waldegg Holiday Centre is located above Rickenbach (Switzerland, BL), at 554 m and around 1 km from the village centre. Surrounded by meadows and forests, it offers a peaceful natural setting with beautiful views. The centre is accessible all year round by PostBus 100 (Gelterkinden–Rheinfelden) and by car. 15 parking spaces are available. Popular nearby excursions include Basel, Liestal, Sissach, Farnsburg, Sissacherfluh, Augusta Raurica, Basel Zoo, Rheinfelden thermal baths and Aquabasilea in Pratteln. The holiday centre consists of two buildings with separate entrances, which can be booked together or individually: the main building with 80 beds and the youth house with 38 beds. The youth house offers 38 beds on one floor and is ideal for school classes, youth groups, clubs and other groups. Accommodation includes four 8-bed rooms with bunk beds, two twin rooms with bunk beds and one twin room with single beds. Facilities include 7 toilets, 5 individual showers, 2 washrooms, a dining room, a hall with projector and screen, and a lounge for up to 40 people. There is also a small catering kitchen, Wi-Fi, cloakroom, private outdoor seating area and indoor table football. The shared outdoor area features a playground, swimming pool, sports field, table tennis, fire pits with barbecue facilities and a wooden hut. The youth house is not wheelchair accessible.
