AL BOCCALINO, the cozy, family-run bed and breakfast, is located in the heart of Melide in a traditional, old Ticino-style house. Under new management and completely renovated, we are just steps from the lakeside promenade on Lake Lugano. Quiet yet centrally located, we are set back from the main road and only a 5-minute walk from the train station and the famous Swissminiatur. The motorway exit is also just 2 minutes away. Lugano can be reached by car or public transport in 10 minutes.
AL BOCCALINO offers nine comfortable guest rooms. Each room has been furnished with great attention to detail, following the principle of "home away from home," creating a unique and welcoming atmosphere. The rooms have a private bathroom with shower and hairdryer, and high-speed Wi-Fi. Some rooms also offer a small sitting area with a sofa and balcony. A fresh, regional breakfast buffet is served every morning at AL BOCCALINO. Free private parking is available on site.
Our house is ideal for vacationers, families, and business travelers alike. It's also a perfect starting point for hikes or bike and mountain bike tours.
Additionally, our guests receive the Ticino Ticket, granting free travel throughout the Canton of Ticino on public transport such as trains, buses, and postal buses. Free parking is available just a few meters from the house.
