Description
Freizeithaus Walten is situated above Läufelfingen in the Upper part of canton Baselland (Switzerland) with a panoramic view as far as the Black Forest.
Our group accommodation is particularly suitable for class camps, holiday camps, music weeks, courses, seminars, conferences, private and company events as well as for weekends and time-outs.
The comfortable atmosphere of the house with the homely dining room and the cosy parlour invite you to relax and enjoy the company.
A covered veranda with garden furniture as well as an adjacent playground with a fireplace and wooden benches invite you to linger in the green.
Läufelfingen lies at the top of the Homburg valley, nestled in the ranges of hills of the Jura in the Basel region, at the foot of the Unterer Hauenstein Pass on the border with the canton of Solothurn. It is 10 km from Olten, 17 km from Liestal and 35 km from Basel. It is on the Sissach - Olten railway line, the S9 of the Basel Regio-S-Bahn, also known as Läufelfingerli. The medieval church of St. Peter and Paul houses three modern stained glass windows by Walter Eglin, the well-known Baselland artist.
The quiet location offers relaxation in the immediate vicinity. Many hiking trails invite you to take varied tours on foot or by bike.
Worth seeing are the restored ruins of Homburg of the Counts of Froburg from 1240 and the observation tower on the Wisenberg.
