Naturfreundehaus Grindelwald

The Naturfreundehaus Grindelwald is situated above the village centre of Grindelwald (Bernese Oberland, Switzerland), on the sunny Terrassenweg. The 70-year-old chalet was beautifully renovated in 2018 and offers space for 50 guests in 14 rooms and a dormitory. Enjoy the cosy lounge or the peaceful garden with its breathtaking mountain panorama. The Hostel Naturfreundehaus Grindelwald, surrounded by majestic mountains such as the Eiger, Jungfrau, Männlichen and Wetterhorn, is an ideal base for skiing, mountaineering, hiking or biking. Individuals, families, hiking groups, clubs are all welcome, for a day or for longer stays. We are also well equipped for courses, camps and parties. Our cuisine is seasonal and uses local products. In addition to the usual food on offer, a wonderful BBQ area is available for our guests' use. In winter, the ski shuttle takes you to the "Bodmi" children's ski paradise in 3 min., where the piste leads directly to the valley station of the First cable car. In addition, you can reach the "Gaggi Säge" bus station in 4 min. in the direction of the "Bussalp" sledging paradise, where the world's longest sledging run (16 km) awaits you. In summer, lace up your hiking/trail running shoes or saddle up your bike/e-bike and set off directly from the front door. We are also a stage stop on the 390 km long Via Alpina, the classic Swiss long-distance hiking trail.
