Here at the Catrina Hotel the whole Catrina Experience project was born. Five years ago Disentis was a ski resort that lived on past memories. The first renovations and investments in the project were made at Catrina Hotel. Today the hotel rooms look fresh and offer every comfort in a family and alpine environment. All rooms have large terraces or balconies with a breathtaking view on the Medelser glacier. Located only hundred meters from the cable car station, the hotel offers every comfort for those who want to be active in the mountains. The Stiva Grischa restaurant in the hotel is the ideal place to enjoy Grisons specialities.
Disentis is a small village in the west of Graubünden, where you can still taste and smell the scents and aromas of times gone by. For 50 years it has been a prestigious area for summer and winter sports with mountain peaks up to 3,000 metres.In recent years, new accommodation, sports and catering facilities have been built and the region has embarked on an ambitious development path.This is how Catrina Experience was born, a tourist complex that includes apartments, hotel, lodge, hostel, wellness area, 11 catering establishments and 2 sports shops. In order to improve the tourist services, Catrina Experience was also connected to the neighbouring ski areas of Andermatt and Sedrun. With its 180 km of snow-covered slopes, which are only a two-hour drive from Milan, it is the largest ski area in Central Switzerland.
