Chalet Edelweiss

Arolla

Description

The Chalet Edelweiss in Arolla (Valais, Switzerland) is a group accommodation at 2000 m above sea level. It can accommodate groups, families or clubs. In winter the ski slopes are less than 5 minutes walk away! It is the ideal starting point for hikes of any level of difficulty in summer and winter. The holiday home for groups Chalet Edelweiss was carefully and harmoniously renovated in 2018, with a cosy dining room, a practical kitchen and high-quality sanitary facilities, Wifi and television. You reach Arolla from Sion by following the road through the Val d'Hérens, past the earth pyramids of Euseigne, Evolène and Les Haudères. At the end of the valley you reach Arolla, a peaceful high mountain village surrounded by very high peaks, including Mont Collon and Pigne d'Arolla. Here in the south of the Valais we are very close to the Italian border and to Zermatt, which can be reached on foot or by ski tour. The Arolla and Evolène ski resorts, thanks to their altitude of up to 3,000 metres, offer interesting possibilities into the late season. The two cross-country trails of the valley cross a wild and breathtaking mountain landscape. The Arolla region is also known to ski touring and high mountain enthusiasts. Several marked winter hiking trails make safe snowshoe hikes possible. In summer there are many well-maintained hiking trails. You have the possibility to reach various high mountain huts. Climbing areas are located in the region.
