Le Gypaète – Mayen Alpin

Welcome to Le Gypaète, a renovated traditional alpine mayen perched at 1,534 m above the village of Sarreyer in Val de Bagnes, just 10 minutes by car from Verbier. This fully self-sufficient off-grid retreat offers total peace and quiet, breathtaking views of 4,000 m peaks, and an authentic Swiss alpine living experience. The chalet features a cosy living room with a traditional soapstone wood stove, a fully equipped open kitchen (dishwasher, oven, induction hob, fondue and raclette set), and a large south-facing terrace with BBQ. Three bedrooms sleep up to 6 guests: a double bed, a double bunk with a single on top, and a single bunk. Shower room with water heated by heat pump. The mayen is fully off-grid: powered by solar panels with battery storage. Spring water is drinkable, internet is provided via 5G, and firewood is included. In summer, the road is accessible by car all the way to the chalet; in winter, expect a 15-minute walk from the car park (snowshoes provided free of charge). Tracked-quad luggage transport available on request. Ideal for mountain lovers: ski touring and snowshoeing in winter, hiking and mountain biking in summer — all directly from the chalet door.
