The designation "musically and historically" stands for the work of the famous career officer, Thomas Legler, who was born in this house in 1782. In 1812, during Napoleon's Russian campaign, he sang the Beresina song in a rather hopeless situation. Since then, it has become a folk song that gives courage, confidence, and comfort. Upon request, the original parlor and the small permanent exhibition, which provides information about the life of the career officer, can be visited. (Collection)
