Our family-run hostel is situated between the UNESCO World Heritage site of Sardona and the oldest wildlife reserve in Europe, Freiberg Kärpf, in the Canton of Glarus, Switzerland. Nestled at the foot of the majestic Weissenberge, our hostel is the ideal retreat for nature and activity lovers. The hostel offers seven inviting rooms, ranging from comfortable single rooms to 4-bed rooms with access to shared showers and toilets. In total, up to 20 guests can be accommodated, making it perfect for groups, families, or solo travelers. The spacious common room serves multiple purposes – as a dining area or seminar room. The cozy atmosphere includes a lounge area, TV, library, pool table, dartboard, mini ping-pong table, as well as a children's play area. All furnishings are handcrafted from upcycled products and local natural materials. Sustainability is close to our hearts, which is why we prioritize using regional and organic products in our cooking. In summer, numerous hiking opportunities, bike paths, and nature observation await you. In winter, our hostel is located right on the sledding slope and serves as the ideal starting point for ski tours. A 4 km long cross-country skiing trail is also nearby. The ski area in Elm is just a 5-minute drive or bus ride away.
