Mountain idyll on the Clavadel Alp The Naturfreunde Davos mountain lodge sits at 1,965 m above sea level, high above the valley in the canton of Graubünden, Switzerland – sunny and fog-free on the Clavadel Alp. Its unique location makes it the perfect base for skiers, hikers, bikers, nature lovers and anyone seeking relaxation in the mountains. Alpine cosiness, regional cuisine and a warm atmosphere come together here – ideal for groups, families or clubs. In summer, access is easy via a permit-required alpine road or on foot in about 40 minutes from Davos Platz. In winter, the house is car-free; luggage transport can be arranged. The lodge offers 37 cosy double and multi-bed rooms with down duvets and mountain views. A restaurant with 50 seats, a homely “Stübli” for 15 people and a sunny terrace with around 50 seats invite you to linger. Wi-Fi, card payment and pets (for a fee) are available. Culinary highlights include regional specialities such as capuns, cheese spätzli, nut tart and the legendary fruit cake. The house is not suitable for self-catering. Right outside the door: the Jakobshorn ski area, numerous hiking trails, bike tracks and snowshoe routes. In summer, alpine meadows and panoramic views; in winter, a snow-covered mountain world – a true retreat of peace and nature.
