Welcome to the Art and Friends of Nature House Brünig (Switzerland, Canton of Bern), a retreat between forest, mountains and community. Set in an idyllic spot just below the Brünig Pass, it is easy to reach by public transport or car. The view of the surrounding nature creates a true camp atmosphere from the very first moment. With 52 beds in 16 rooms, from small rooms to dormitories and attic rooms, the house is ideal for school classes, clubs, sports groups and family camps. Common rooms invite you to game or movie nights, and the spacious self-catering kitchen is perfect for cooking together. Dinner is available on request, subject to our kitchen team’s availability. A special extra is the “Witch’s Cottage” (Hexenhäuschen), a creative and party space with a stage for workshops, rehearsals or celebrations. As it is not insulated, it can only be used in the warmer months. There is also a recording studio, woodworking shop, web design studio, photo and film studio, pottery workshop and a permaculture garden in the making. Outside you’ll find a fire pit, play areas and plenty of nature to explore. Hiking trails start right at the door, and mountain bike routes explore the surrounding valleys and heights. In winter, the Hasliberg ski area is close by for skiing, sledging, snowshoeing and winter hiking. Mid-season rates apply during school holidays. Groups of up to 15 people pay a surcharge of CHF 5 per person per night on top of the respective seasonal rate.
