The Acla Muragl estate occupies one of the most beautiful spots in the Upper Engadine. It is situated on a south-facing hill at the foot of the Muottas Muragl between forest and pastures. From here you can enjoy an uninterrupted view of the Alpine panorama. The view stretches from Piz Albris to Piz Palü, Chalchagn and Piz Glüschaint to Piz Lagrev, Piz Julier and Piz Ot. With over 1700 hours of sunshine, this is one of the sunniest places in Switzerland. A magical mountain world in the unmistakable colours of the Engadin awaits you at any time of year.
The Punt Muragl station, where the Rhaetian Railway, local buses and the funicular railway to Muottas Muragl run, is just a few minutes' walk away. The neighbouring villages of Pontresina, Celerina, Samedan and St. Moritz are also close by, each with their own character. A variety of walks, hikes, cross-country ski trails and ski tours start right on the doorstep, for example to Lake Staz, the Segantini hut or Piz Muragl.
Estate - An inn in the Grisons style
Originally built around the turn of the century as an excursion restaurant with a farm, the property is listed as an architectural monument. The interior has recently been carefully renovated to offer contemporary comfort. The interior remains intact in many places.
A wood pellet burner and solar panels provide CO2-neutral heating and hot water. The flats are supplied with solar power.
Rooms - For group holidays, retreats and mountain offices
Acla Muragl consists of two flats connected by an external staircase. They have access to a large living room with panoramic views on the ground floor and a smaller living room on the upper floor. There are also six bedrooms, three bathrooms and two kitchens. There is room for up to twelve guests all year round. All rooms have unobstructed views of the mountains.
The kitchens are equipped with a wide range of organic basic foodstuffs, the bathrooms offer contemporary comfort, a washing machine and tumble dryer are available at all times and finally, there is WLAN and two desktop screens for work or leisure purposes.
